Art is Moving is a collaboration between artists Lisa Rasmussen and Lauren Odell Usher. Our mission is to open the doors of the art world wide open, making it more accessible for everyone to take part in. We hope to accomplish this mission through art making, blogging, community outreach projects, and anything else that encourages the conversation about and the creating of ART!

Take 5: Art Break Day 2011
On September 2, 2011 in 5 cities throughout the Bay Area, art sites will be set up with tables filled to their brim with various art supplies. From 9am until 5pm on that Friday the public will be invited to sit down, take a break, and make art for FREE! Come and join us! ARTcart is for everyone. It is a space for freedom of expression about home, art, identity, culture and unity. We believe that art is a powerful tool for communication. Those who partake will find they learn something about themselves and the world around them. ARTcart is for conversation, for dialog about what the community wants and/or needs.
