Art is Moving wants everyone in the world to have the opportunity to experience art. Art matters and is a necessary component to a heathly society because it is an exquisite tool for learning about oneself, expressing one's emotions and thoughts, and offers the opportunity for a community to come together and grow. There are several ways to experience art and feel its positive impact. You can make it, talk about it, look at it - all are essential and Art is Moving exists to ensure that everyone is provided the opportunity to do all three without fear.
Art is Moving's annual Art Break Day involves several cities from around the world coming together to offer FREE art making to anyone and everyone. It is easy to join in the fun. You can donate, sponsor, volunteer, become an artist in residence to learn what it takes to host your VERY OWN Art Break Day! You can also raise the funds, buy a kit, or have a DIY Art Break Day in your city. Get involved HERE.
We are so excited to announce that we will be officially filing for a 501c3 Non-profit status during 2013! We haven't quite raised the funds yet, so DONATE today (here) and support our campaign to make art accessible to everyone!
On September 6, 2013 thousands of people across the globe in 18 different communities were offered a chance to sit down, take a break, and make art for free. We were so excited that 2 of our 18 locations were outside of the United States. A first in Art Break Day history! See our 2013 highlights here. Make sure you sign up and join in on all of the fun we plan to have on Art Break Day 2014! More information here.
ARTcart is our way of offering art anytime, anywhere, and to anyone. We are looking for willing artists and art lovers to sign up as ART mentors or volunteers in their hometown so we can offer the ARTcart around the world. More info and sign up here.
